GREGOR WOSIK

 

 

 

 

Gregor Wosik wurde 1955 in Oberschlesien geboren und liebte von klein auf das Malen und Zeichnen. Seine zeichnerische Begabung wurde schon früh entdeckt und ermöglichte ihm ab seinem 16 Lebensjahr, sein Talent durch zusätzlichen Kunstunterricht auszubauen. Damals verdiente er sich stets etwas mit Portraits, Landschaftsbildern und anderen Auftragsarbeiten dazu. Seit 1984 lebt er in Deutschland, wo er nun schon seid 26 Jahren neben der Ausübung eines Bürgerlichen Berufes als freischaffender Künstler tätig ist.

Inspiriert von alten Meistern des Realismus wie Rembrandt und Caravaggio, strebt er in seinen Arbeiten stets eine detailgetreue Abbildung des Menschen an und legt bei der malerischen Umsetzung eigener bzw. kopierter Werke, sehr großen Wert auf eine sichtbar ausdrucksstarke Körpersprache, der abgebildeten Personen. Die Neigung zur großflächigen Malerei, egal ob auf einer Wand, einer Fassade, dem Asphalt oder auf Leinen, ist charakteristisch für Gregor Wosiks künstlerisches Schaffen. Heute ist Gregor Wosik ein bekannter Straßenmaler. Seit fünf Jahren spezialisiert er sich in der „Street-Art“ Bewegung besonders auf die 3D Straßenmalerei und Illusionsmalerei. Er arbeitet sowohl für Privatpersonen als auch für Werbeagenturen und ist dabei aktiv an der Ideenfindung und Umsetzung von Werbekampagnen beteiligt. Seine bisher größte Ausstellung fand in Wien statt, wo er die moderne Straßenmalerei anhand eigener Werke präsentierte. Im Sommer 2009 verwirklichten sechs europäische Straßenmaler, darunter Gregor Wosik, das größte 3D Strassenmalerei Projekt der Welt. In vier Tagen entstand ein 750m² großes 3D Bild welches von „Guinness“ offiziell als Weltrekord anerkannt wurde.

 

 

 

 

 

Gregor Wosik was born 1955 in Oberschlesien/Poland, and loved painting and drawing since he was a child. His talent was discovered very early and improved through additional art studies. Already in the age of 16 he was able to increase his budget by painting portraits, landscapes or wallpaintings. Since 1984 he is living in  Germay and works as a free-lance artist.

Formerly he was inspired by the old masters, his favourite idols are Caravaggio and Rembrandt, and he learned a lot by copying. Outgoing from this, he developed his own typical style in various oil and acrylic paintings. In his hometown he is part of the artist group "Blaue Rheydter" , and has regular exhibitions.

Conspicuous is his inclination for large-sized paintings, that is why he likes mural painting and is very happy with the fact, that streetpainting nowadays has a real renaissance. On the pavement he can realize his visions of large paintings. Since about 3 years he specialized on 3d paintings, which is illusionary painting on the street. He works successful for various agencies and big companies all over the world, who want to transport their advetisement and brandings through 3d street art.

2008 he had an own exhibition in Wien, to present the modern way of street- art.   And 2009 he made a sketch of his vision, a real large 3d picture, and it was realized by 6 eropean streetpainter in 4 days in Rijssen/Netherland. The result was a pcture 750 m², which was officially added to the Guiness book of records.
